Yup, I'm burning up the calories. Yesterday I burned (or lost, however you want to put it) 610 calories and today I burned 682 which is a lot even for me. I only go for about an hour but maybe it was because I put the resistance up to 5 instead of 3 or 4 on the elliptical. Anyway, I felt pretty good though...exhausted, but good.
I also had a midterm today in Professor Sandor's class for ENG 465 (The Uncanny Novella). I think I did okay on it, but not as good as I would've liked. I was one of the last ones to finish up so I was kind of nervous about that. I did finish the test this time though! Usually her exams are so hard. This one was hard too but maybe it was because I felt more prepared that it didn't seem too hard. I don't think I did well on the quotes section though (where we have to identify the quotes--what books they're from, author, what's going on plotwise, why it's important, etc.) We had about 5 or 6 books (stories), maybe more, to study too, so that was really hard.
What I thought was really weird and an uncanny moment of the day was when
I was done with my workout at Dixon and Professor Sandor tapped me on the shoulder and said "hi." I was so surprised! I totally did not expect to see her there and she said that she hadn't expected to see me there either. She looked a little different so I didn't recognize her at first and she asked me if I was "still recovering." I thought she meant after the workout so I said yes, lol. After she left though, I thought about it and was pretty sure she meant if I was "still recovering" from the midterm, lol. It was probably one of the most amusing moments of my day today.
I have another midterm paper to go, some stuff to do for my English internship and still have to study for those GREs. The practice GREs are this Saturday and I know I'm going to do horribly on them because I haven't practiced. Maybe I should be doing that instead of blogging....
